Q: What is your fondest memory of the University as a student and professor?
A: I am incredibly grateful for the people, places and memories that have helped shape my journey, including former Professors George Doyle, Ph.D., and James McCarthy, Ph.D., whose compassion, kind nature and teaching style led me to pursue a career in economics and finance.

Q: What was your favorite tradition at Assumption?
A: My favorite tradition was attending Sunday service in the Chapel. I loved the high arches, the light passing through the stained glass, the choral music and the sermons. It filled me with inspiration for a brighter day—even in the depths of New England winter months. Friends and I would go into Worcester to enjoy brunches at favorite haunts.

Q: Why do you support the University with a planned gift?
A: I think it is important to leave a positive legacy, and I am pleased to do my part in helping future generations of Assumption students as a way to show my appreciation and to further promote the mission of the University as it strives to prepare students known for critical intelligence, thoughtful citizenship and compassionate service.

Q: Why is it important to give back to Assumption?
A: I am grateful for my experience at Assumption, which provided a solid foundation for both my personal and professional life, and I wish to pay it forward. In gratitude, I made a bequest, but I also mentor students and regularly host Assumption students and faculty members during the annual New York City spring break trip.

Q: What advice would you give to a new graduate?
A: Become a good communicator, think critically and challenge yourself in a positive way, to seek your personal truth and to find joy in service to others. Those qualities, which I gained at Assumption, have served me well.
